I'm sick of the primary drama! Mostly because it is created by the news media to improve their ratings since they don't actually have anything substantive to say.

I like your thoughts on education, Mom. This sounds like a good outline for an interesting article in an educational journal or something.

Did you have chocolate granola in Switzerland? If so, was that the first time you had it?

I too just discovered Little Reg Wagon Granola, Mocha with Almonds- it is the best granola I have ever had. I was hoping to find a website, but all I have come across is your comment. Do you know a way to get in touch with them, email or phone number?

Thanks,
Angie

You can try buying a card board box containing milk, so that the content cannot be seen from the exterior, then add into it some edible coloring agents and watch the fun when your kids pour the milk on their cereal

I admire people who camp. My family never did. The closest we got was staying at a Holiday Inn near the Smoky Mountains.

And that's an, um, interesting fact about asparagus. :)

I love the title of your post. I want to say that to every customer who walks in, takes too long to shop, but refuses any help and talks about what a hurry they're in at the cash registers because they're going to miss a movie/baby shower/birthday party, etc. I wish I could tell them that their poor planning is not my emergency. :) But alas, I am too worried about losing my job.

Instead I politely say that in order to make sure their purchase is rung up correctly, it's necessary for me to take my time and go through my method. Remove hangers. Put hangers away. Leave clothes in a mound on the counter. Ring up the clothes as I'm folding them. "because the last thing I want to do is accidentally charge you for something twice or not charge you for something at all". And that I've accidentally over and undercharged people when I've rushed too much in the past. That shuts 'em up real quick. ;) Cause that means when they get to where they're going in such a hurry, they're going to groan and bum out when they have to come back to get things done properly.

That usually cleans up those folks in a rush.

I wish you had a nice, rational method to explain to other drivers that it's a commute to work, and being on time should not create a potential life and death situation for others. Maybe you should put a giant clear plastic sign in your back window that says that. If I can find one somewhere on the internet, it will be yours.
