Having experienced Quaker metting over the years and adapting many of the principles, I found this pledge recently and have been reading it daily as a mantra to keep me out of the mall etc etc.
It could/should be called The Holiday Pledge to be all inclusive.
Believing in the true spirit of “Christmas” I commit myself [...]

Chocolate Cake drink
A colleague shared a recipe with me today. I had an interest in how to make this drink and “Googled” it. Go to drinknation.com and look for Chocolate Cake recipe #3. I don’t visit the VA ABC very often, but have a fascination with anything chocolate. Last year, I was treated to a chocolate martini [...]

The Little Hooters Girl, [...]

Roadblocks- A Philosophy- Long winded- beware
Ever wonder why there are roadblocks to your happiness, success, completion of a project? SHIT happens. Staying [...]

Why I Love Documentaries
Recently I have started a subscription to NetFlix. I Love it! Got tired of waiting so long at the public library for certain popular reserves and tired of going to Blockbuster and browsing endlessly and then paying through the nose.
The other night I watched a PBS special called The Amish: A People of Preservation. I [...]
