Hwy Signage: Speed Enforced By Aircraft

Really?  Could this really happen???  Could a low flying airplane pull you over or use a bullhorn to alert you to your speeding ????!!!  I have seen these signs on I-95 and other highways for years.  It strikes me as funny that an aircraft could really do anything to you while you are traveling along [...]

Thanksgiving Musings

Before venturing out to shop with the throgs of humans seeking consumerism therapy, try visiting your attic and closets to see what you have forgotten! I did and I feel like I am saving $$$ as I write.  Don’t need: wrapping paper, ribbons or Christmas cards!  Found a few unfinished craft projects before going to [...]

Virginia Tech President makes $719,892.00

Headlines in today’s local newspaper, Tech Families Press Kaine.  We have a great Governor and he listens; however….Something is not right with the large salary of VaTech President Charles Steger.  I am shocked and appalled that one person can make so much money and yet the families of the shooting victims still haven’t been listened [...]

So many of you know my current anti-bullying theme right? As we teach kids how to prevent bullying and deal with bullies, I am noticing more and more adult bullies on the highways and byways of life.  Some bullies are on the road and others have their own selfish agendas in personal and professional endeavors.  [...]

Holiday catalogs

Well, I tried to stop the flow of unwanted gift catalogs into our home this fall, but they haven’t ceased yet.  Maybe next November?  We recycle most of them, but there is one that is really fun to peruse.   I have been enjoying The Vermont Country Store Catalog immensely.
Where else can you find classic sleds/saucers, [...]
