Well, if you are home reading this, that means that you are not out shopping! Good for you!
A’s friends had thought they wanted to go to the midnight to 8 am sale-a-thon at the Williamsburg Outlets last night. I am happy to report that every single one of them flaked out! Yahoo!
We had a laid back Turkey Day. It was refreshing. Our annual tradition is to take a nature walk at a county park along the Appomattox River. The weather was gorgeous and Chloe had fun tromping through the woods and some trepidation walking on the metal boardwalks through the swampy area.
We cooked a free range organic turkey after soaking it in a brine overnight. Also, we tried making pumpkin pies from scratch- meaning actually baking a “baking” pumpkin. Both tasted good! I found whole wheat pie crusts in the frozen food section. I hope to play around with mastering the art of pie crusts from scratch soon.
We have watched two movies which I highly recommend:
A Good Year with Russell Crowe &
Reign Over Me with Adam Sandler.

If you are wondering about Mater from the movie Cars…he is a random “adorable” amusement to me.
